Private yacht charters — questions

How many guests can a yacht take?

Each vessel lists a base number of guests included and a maximum with paid extra guests — from 8 on the 60′ Craic up to 80 on the 110′ Pelican 17. Tap any vessel to see its full guest tiers.

Do all the yachts leave from the same marina?

Almost. Most sail from Cabo San Lucas — several from IGY Marina. El Campero, Heather Nikki and Neoprene board at Marina Puerto Los Cabos in San José del Cabo, and can also pick you up at Chileno Bay or Santa María Bay for an extra fee. If your villa is on the San José side, that saves the drive.

Which one is the best value?

It depends on the group. For four to ten people, the 28′ Whiplash is all-inclusive with taxes already in the price. For a dozen, the 70′ Sea Beast includes transport to the marina. Above thirty, the 110′ Just an Aquaholic builds crew, fuel, open bar and food into the rate. Your concierge will lay out the real totals side by side.

What's included in the price?

Every charter includes the crew, water toys (snorkel gear, paddle boards, floating mat) and a sound system. Food and bar vary: some vessels include a premium open bar and chef menu, others include beers, soft drinks and appetizers with chef and bar upgrades available. Each vessel card lists exactly what's included.

Is Mexican sales tax included?

No — all charter rates are subject to 16% Mexican sales tax. Several vessels also carry a 10% crew gratuity. Your concierge confirms the all-in total before you pay.

Can I add extra guests?

Yes. Most vessels price by guest tier (1–10, 11–20, 21–30…), so the rate steps up as the group grows; a few charge a flat $100 USD per extra guest. Your concierge will confirm the maximum and the cost.

What time do charters depart?

Most vessels run charter blocks between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Manta has fixed windows — departures before 10:30 AM or after 3:00 PM — which makes it ideal for a morning swim or a sunset cruise.

Can you host a wedding or a large event on board?

Yes. The 110′ Pelican 17 has a below-deck suite and changing rooms built for wedding parties and hosts up to 80 guests; the 55′ Pelican X and Pelican 11 handle up to 45. Longer charters beyond 4 hours can usually be arranged.

Do you handle transport to the marina?

Yes — we can arrange a private transfer from your villa to the marina and back, timed to your charter. Add it in the notes.

How far in advance should I book?

The best yachts and dates go early, especially in high season (December–April) and around holidays. We recommend booking as soon as your dates are set.
